This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate how critically important the natural world is, and how, by harnessing that little bit of ‘wild’ within all of us, we can push our boundaries to achieve great things.
Meet Jo
London girl born and bred. I moved down to the Essex coast in my twenties.
Spending the next twenty years thinking the Estuary was beautiful, I had my “Oh s**t, what now?” moment and thought I’d try coastal rowing… and found both a passion and a tribe.
Meet Sheila
I spent my life by the sea and as a really young kid I sometimes feared it, but now I revel in its beauty and power, and more than ever I understand how much I need it, how much it gives me and how all of us need to protect it!
I’ve spent my life swimming in it, the last 15 years rowing it and 7 years advocating for it – as a surfers against sewage rep.
Meet Sam
Being born and living on the picturesque Mersea Island, you cannot help but have an inherent bond with the sea.
Now on the precipice of my most daring adventure yet, I am excited to team up with four remarkable Wild Women on a journey that will test my mettle and spirit.
Meet Lorena
I moved to the village of Rowhedge in 2017, and am lucky enough to have access to the water right outside my door. What started with kayaks and paddleboards soon became a passion for rowing. I have had many adventures in my own hanningfield skiff, in harkers yard gigs, cornish pilot gigs and Ocean rowing boats.
